I found the base figure at a flea market, and the rolls made me think that he would make a good Wario figure. I never realized how feminine a guy could look with purple overalls, until I started to paint him. Luckily I was able to darken up the purple, and make it a bit more masculine. My favorite part is probably the mustache. I wanted a different style of mustache for this figure, and I thought that it would look cool to connect to the side burns. So, I decided to at least have a figure of Chibi to remind me to someday build one that actually works. I used Lego Bricks to make the head, arms and legs, and I used a highlighter to make the body. I also used a plug from an old game system to make...well...the plug. As you all know, I love Super Mario Bros. It was only natural to make a custom Koala based on the game. I would have made one sooner, but I couldn't figure out what to use for the hat. Luckily, I found an old Mario plush that I won from a claw machine, and used parts from that. I really wasn't trying to be perfect, it was just a cute project. I am working on a bunch of other projects to, and they will be out eventually. Hope this will hold you guys over for a couple of weeks until I can get more.

It was fairly simple to do, and the end result is pretty impressive. It reminds me of the Bob-omb from the Super Mario Movie, except mine is cooler, because that movie really sucked. The only thing is that this jumps and does not walk. The original Gutsman figure, only had 3-4 points of articulation. I wanted a Gutsman that could look like he was throwing the huge boulders, so I redid him with better joints. I used the same LEGO joints that I did when I made my Custom Airman figure. I love this figure a lot more now that it can do more. The only other thing that I want to do is to make the figures and hands movable, but I haven't found the right parts to make it look correct. If you want to see more, check out My Flickr Site. Here is a picture of the original for comparison.

I personally think ninjas are better with their stealthy-ness, and black pajamas. Show off your ninja pride with these magnet throwing stars being sold at Epauletshop. You can get two of these to stick wherever you want for only $19. This price is a bit steep, but for the greatness that you will show for getting these, it might be worth it.

I think cruelty to animals is wrong, but some of the folks are a little bit extreme. In their extreme opinions, comes another great flash game called Cooking Mama, Mama Kills Animals. It is a way to inform people about all the gross and wrong things that happen when it comes to buying a turkey. I think this game was very well made, and is just another example of how games can be educational. Of course it isn't going to stop me from eating meat or turkey, but I did find it amusing.

A couple of weeks ago, a video showed up on youtube that showed someone who made one from a Gundam model and an electric motor. I couldn't afford the parts to recreate his efforts, so I decided to try to make one with thing that I had lying around the house, which happened to be a crap load of Lego bricks. Using Mighty Putty and super glue, I was able to create this figure. I thought the Munny form well suited Mario in this form. Not much to say about this except that I made the hammers from scratch, which was a real pain. I used acrylic paint, mighty putty for the hammers, epoxy putty for the Mario sculpt, and an old plastic Easter egg for the shell. I have been wanting to try my hand at making an action figure, but I could not find my inspiration. This is what I think Luigi would look like if her were real and on steroids. I made the overalls, shoes, and mustache from mighty putty. I got the hat from another Luigi figure that I picked up. I know this is a little out of my realm, so any criticism would help me the next time I decide to butcher an action figure...LOL. Here is KodyKoala's Halloween Costume. He told me he wanted to be a little green Martian, so I made him into one. I was fortunate enough to get the Munny Teddy Bear, and so I converted it into a Koala. This is one of my first times that I used Mighty Putty, and I must say that I love it. It sands a lot easier than epoxy putty. I am hoping to make a new version of Kody every year, but it depends on how my schedule looks. I had to add princess peach to the final concept because the figures that I got to use for the munny, were slightly too small and I didn't want to waste space. I decided to add the princess because in the last level of the game, she would pop up and give Mario a mushroom in the middle of his long battle with Bowser Koopa. Hopefully I can get a munny and start on this soon. I have to go back up to Maryland for work, so I think that will be when I get a chance to work on it.

The original concept was good, but the follow through wasn't very good because I was just starting on my customs, and I was in a rush.
